Letters, Forms & Referrals

Over the many years that I have practiced as a mental health nurse and psychotherapist within the NHS,I have come to realise that very often one of the most pressing and stressful needs that a client can have is for support with the complex process of applying for benefits and extra social support.

I can offer help in a variety of ways, including:

  • helping complete paperwork & application forms
  • providing professional clinical letters in support of applications
  • telephone advocacy with services on your behalf to chase applications and speak for you as required
  • accompanying you to meetings as required to act as emotional support and advocate as required
  • Referring you to the most appropriate source of help and support; this may include arranging a referral to formal mental health services, referring you to Social Services, contacting your GP and arranging appointments, referring you to other third sector support agencies as appropriate (Birmingham Healthy Minds, Sandwell Wellbeing Hub, AgeUK, Alzheimers Society, Women's Aid etc)
If you need help in any of the above areas, we will identify this during the initial assessment and incorporate this into your personalised treatment plan.
